ギターサウンドにフォーカスした「See you」は、男女ヴォーカルの掛け合いが特徴的なシューゲイザー・サウンド。
ミックス・マスタリングは、Nine Inch Nails作品などにも参加しているLA在住のエンジニアJun Murakawa。
アートワークは、ブルックリンのアーティストAnnika White。
Luby Sparks has released “See You,” their last original song in one year and eight months since “Songs of The Hazy Memories” in January 2025.
“See You,” which focuses on the guitar sound, features a shoegaze sound characterized by the interplay between male and female vocals.
Mixing and mastering were handled by Jun Murakawa, an LA-based engineer who has worked on projects by Nine Inch Nails and others.
The artwork is by Brooklyn-based artist Annika White.

2026年9月23日より、スラバヤ、マラン、ジョクジャカルタ、チコレ、そして、ジャカルタを巡るインドネシア・ツアー「SUN IN THE SPARKLING SEA Indonesia Tour 2026」を行うLuby Sparks。
インドネシアの公演は、2023年にジャカルタでの「Joyland Festival」とバンドンでのイベント出演以来の3年振りの公演。ツアーは、ヘヴィーゲイザー／シューゲイザー・サウンドで地元で人気のsunlotus、日本ツアーも行ったインディ・バンドBeltigsの二組ローカルバンドと行う予定。最終のジャカルタ公演は、ローカルフェス「Pestapora Music Festival」へ出演する。
Luby Sparks will embark on a tour of Indonesia starting September 23, 2026.
Starting September 23, 2026, Luby Sparks will embark on the “SUN IN THE SPARKLING SEA Indonesia Tour 2026,” visiting Surabaya, Malang, Yogyakarta, Cikore, and Jakarta.
These performances in Indonesia will mark their first in three years, following their appearances at the “Joyland Festival” in Jakarta and an event in Bandung in 2023. The tour will feature two local bands: sunlotus, popular locally for their heavy gazing/shoegazing sound, and Beltigs, an indie band that has also toured Japan. For the final Jakarta show, they will perform at the local “Pestapora Music Festival.”

Luby Sparks
Luby Sparks is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in 2016. The band’s current lineup is Natsuki (bass, vocals), Erika (vocals), Tamio (guitar), Sunao (guitar), and Shin (drums). The band’s self-titled debut album, Luby Sparks (2018), was recorded in London with Max Bloom (Yuck/Cajun Dance Party) as a co-producer. In 2019, they released a single titled “Somewhere,” which was remixed by Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins). In May 2022, Luby Sparks released their second album, Search + Destroy, which is produced by Andy Savours, a Mercury Prize-shortlisted producer and engineer in London, who is known for working with My Bloody Valentine, Black Country, New Road, and Rina Sawayama. The album launch show at WWW X in Shibuya held in June was successfully sold out. In October, they performed in Bangkok, Thailand. In March 2023, Luby Sparks were actively expanding overseas with their first headline US tour around seven cities (New York, Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, and Los Angeles). In September of the same year, they were touring in seven cities in China, including a show at Strawberry Music Festival 2023, followed by a performance in Korea, and the worldwide festival Joyland Festival 2023 in Indonesia. Following the release of the last EP Song for The Daydreamers released in May 2024, new EP Song of The Hazy Memories will be released on January 24th, 2025. In April 2026, They also released an EP featuring four original songs written for the video game “ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN”.

2016年3月結成。2018年1月、Max Bloom (Yuck) と全編ロンドンで制作したデビューアルバム「Luby Sparks」を発売。2019年9月に発表したシングル「Somewhere」では、Cocteau TwinsのRobin Guthrieによるリミックスもリリースされた。2022年5月11日にMy Bloody Valentine、Rina Sawayamaなどのプロデュース／エンジニアを手掛けるAndy Savoursを共同プロデューサーに迎え、セカンド・アルバム「Search + Destroy」をリリース。同年6月には、初のワンマンライブ「Search + Destroy Live」(WWW X) も行い、ソールドアウトとなった。10月にはタイでの海外公演、2023年3月全米7都市にて「US Tour 2023」、9月「Strawberry Music Festival 2023」を含む中国全7都市「China Tour 2023」、10月韓国、11月インドネシア「Joyland Festival」へ出演を行うなど海外での展開も積極的に行なっている。2024年5月にリリースした「Songs for The Daydreamers」EPに続き、2025年1月24日にも「Songs of The Hazy Memories」EPをリリース。2026年4月には、ゲーム「ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN」の為に書き下ろした4曲をまとめたEPもリリースしている。
