"巡る季節＝Life"を歌い、アコースティックギターのポリリズムやカリンバのサウンドがアフリカを想起させながらも、都会的なグルーヴも感じさる宅録R&Bの大名曲「April Child」 が完成。
ビート・プログラミング／ミックスは、北里がメロディや作詞で参加した「99 Steps (feat. Kohjiya, Hana Hope)」がヒットした盟友のSTUTS。マスタリングは、Billie Eilish、The Weeknd、Alicia Keysなども手掛けるDavid Kutch (The Mastering Palace)。
3月05日に福岡 UNITEDLABで行われた「STUTS “90 Degrees” TOUR 2026」でも披露され話題になっている楽曲。
Akihisa Kitazato's new song, since the December 2023 album “Time of Sand, City of Water” and 2024's “Oblivion”.
The masterpiece “April Child,” a home-recorded R&B track, is complete. It sings of “The Circling Seasons = Life,” featuring acoustic guitar polyrhythms and kalimba sounds that evoke Africa while also delivering an urban groove.
Beat programming and mixing were handled by STUTS, the close collaborator whose hit “99 Steps (feat. Kohjiya, Hana Hope)” featured Kitazato on melody and lyrics. Mastering was done by David Kutch (The Mastering Palace), who has worked with artists like Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, and Alicia Keys. The music video was directed by Kensuke Ide.
The song that was also performed at the “STUTS ‘90 Degrees’ TOUR 2026” held at Fukuoka UNITEDLAB on March 5th and has been generating buzz.
